Upright monuments offer the greatest print area of any of the designs..

"Upright" Monuments offer a greater area for placement of pictures, larger fonts etc.  Their stature offers greater visibility of the face area making this type of monument very popular.

Generally, both the face (front) and the back are polished, smooth surfaces.  The top edge, along with the side edges may be either polished, (smooth) or unpolished, (natural).

• Large surface area
• More visible to family and friends searching for a loved one in the cemetery.
• Family name may be placed on back.

Their shape may be rectangular or square with a gently sloping top (called a "Serp" top), or they may be a Heart, Double Heart, "Wing" or one of many different Unique shapes.

"Wing" monuments are shaped to compliment another monument with a mirror image. The "wings" may be left single or may be joined by a center stone matching the base color  or the monument color.  Wings may also be used as a single marker as a unique shape.
